This one has been percolating for a while…ever since we introduced the kiddos to the Wizard of Oz earlier this year. I just can’t get enough of the fabulousness of the Art Deco Emerald City in the film, especially with Pantone’s color of the year on the brain lately! Now if only I could think of a way to interpret the horse of a different color!

Raven Parr name paintling
So, I guess the kids have been watching me in action…
This lovely piece is by my daughter who adores the Magic Schoolbus and has named her “child” Raven Parr in honor of her favorite song and The Incredibles. I especially love the exploration of cursive and the rendering of Liz the lizard.
Abigail name paintling
A birthday present for a brand-new 5 year old—with some of her favorite things. 🙂 I used a new glue pen to do the glitter on this one, and it makes a huge difference!
